About

Will Fennah ID Pic.jpg

Will Fennah has been an ardent animator and filmmaker since the age of seven.

He began experimenting with stop-frame animation (using modelling clay) and greenscreen techniques, whilst also teaching himself to write scripts and short stories.

In 2013, Will won a national animation competition and was invited to Aardman Studios in Bristol to help create an animated music video for the online game ‘Bin Weevils’. He was given personal tutoring by Aardman director Mark Hewis and received a ‘Gold Disc’ from Sony Music for my contribution to the success of the animated music video.

Using the skills learnt from his day at Aardman, Will later completed his first short stop-frame animation ‘Timmy Trimble’.

From 2017, Will experimented with ‘Machinima’ - an animation technique that uses videogame engines and virtual environments to create films. Using Garry’s Mod’s ‘Source’ engine, Will created six of his own Doctor Who episodes, which involved writing scripts, filming, voice-acting, and editing each episode - each taking around a year to produce.

I am currently working on a short film entitled ‘GREENTEETH’ which is based on Lancashire folklore surrounding ‘Jinny Greenteeth’ a phantom djinn who haunts lakes and meres.

In 2023, I wrote and produced a short documentary about the career of American screen actor ‘Bonar Colleano’ who was killed, tragically, in car accident in 1958 whilst on a theatre tour in UK. Recently, I received an email from Bonar’s son, Mark, who was extremely complimentary about the documentary.
